My attorney passed away and no one can tell me where my file is being stored or how to proceed with action with my case. My case was originally filed in May/June of 1997. How can I proceed with replacing my attorney? I haven't been able to get any kind of cooperation from any attorney.

How can I proceed with replacing my attorney?

You can obtain another attorney by meeting with one you like, then hiring her or him.

Once you have retained her or his services, he'll or she'll endeavor to be subbed in by the judge to replace your deceased current counsel.

Sooner or later, the new counsel will ensure your litigation continues in the pursuit of the justice you seek.
