A very close friend of mine currently has an arrest warrant for her, and if she is caught, is facing 8 years in the State Prison. Her charges are all drug related with only 1 assault charge. She has made it very clear to me that there is NO WAY she can do 8 years. She is making plans to leave the State, and live with an ex-boyfriend.
If she happens to find work in the state she goes to, how long would it actualy take for her employer and/or local police to find out she has an arrest warrant? If she is caught would there be more time added to her already 8 year sentence? Is there a statue of limitations on arrest warrants?
Iv'e begged and pleaded with her to turn herself in before it gets worse, but being away for 8 years locked up like an animal just is not an option for her. Again, thank you in advance for taking the time to read and respond to this post.
