I recently resigned from my job as a teacher. I work 9 months out of the year, but have my paychecks stretched over a 12 month time. I was a contracted employee. I resigned the first of Feb. and they did give me my Feb. pay check for the full amount that month. Shouldn't the employer have to give me the money that I had saved for the summer months? Or do I have a case at all????

Annual salary / months (prorated) that you actually worked, compared with annual salary / 12 * salary you've already been paid = amount due.

What does the employer say when you ask them this question?

As you are appointed on contract of 12 months and you have not completed that period then so many questions arise as yo too have weak points
So first clear all the previous issues and then proceed for further.

I agree with Patricia. You earned 1/9 of your yearly salary after each month of work. The fact that you take it over 12 months is irrelevant. When you resign they owe you your full pay for each month you worked.
