I was wondering if I could still go back to my maiden name...

I have been divorced for over 7 years. At the time my divorce was final, I was working in the Real Estate industry and my married name was on my
Real estate license, as well as all of my advertising materials and my clientelle was more familiar with my married name. So, I decided to retain it.
I gave up real estate shortly thereafter, due to a health crisis (and some other issues) and never renewed my license.

I've kept my married name for years on my bank account, credit cards, work papers etc...It's my "legal name" but that's it. And, all my family and friends still call me by my maiden name (I was only married for 3 years).
I'd really like to legally go back to my maiden name. Is it too late for me to do that? What steps would I need to take?

You can change your name back, but you will have to file in court for a legal name change. Contact your local courthouse for the forms and instructions.
