I live in Oregon. ORS 811.125. I won't lie, I was racing. An Acura was in front of me turning left onto a one way, I was turning left also. The light turned green he accelerated (hard) into the center lane. I acclerated hard into the left lane. I passed him then cut into the center lane. As I approached the next light (about 1/4 mile past the intersection we started at) I noticed the officer on the left at the intersection. I continued on then merged to the left lane and into a parking lot. He pulled me over (didn't bother with the acura). I was polite and he gave me a ticket for speed racing, didn't impound my car. He didn't get me on radar, I didn't burn my tires. This was in the evening, around 9:30, I noticed on the ticket that he marked the AM box instead of the PM box, not sure if that matters but if I could use it GREAT. Can I beat it?

And for all you holyer-than-thous, Yes it was stupid, I don't normally race, moment of weakness. SORRY!.

Defamation/slander, unauthorized disclosure of medical records, wrongful termination

A couple of nurse managers and possibly a nurse decided that I had accused one of the physicians of sexual harassment. I did not do this and made this very clear to the nurse manager that I was speaking to. They decided this based on an interview where the term "sexual harassment" was dropped by myself. They never bothered to call me or ask me for any kind of clarification or explanation. They just went to this physician, nurses, staff, and other physicians and questioned them about this topic. They made it seem as though I had accused this physician of sexual harassment. This physician probably became so uncomfortable that he left, along with his partner. Other staff eventually left this hospital. This physician's partner asked that his image not be used for the hospital's new commercial.

If there were so many questions and so much controversy over this, why did these nurse managers not call me or ask me about anything at all? Instead, I was told to not go to the floor where my old manager worked. I was told by the supervisor that hired me that if I were to go up there, security would be called to escort me off the floor. This supervisor later denied ever having said this, although one of the nurses overheard him say this to me during my interview in the breakroom.

These nurse managers made sure that key people knew this story that they conjured up. They made sure that all of the nurse managers in the hospital knew this, as well as the physicians. They proceeded to share other information about me that was unnecessary to share. I believe this information included my personal medical records. I had already been working at this hospital for a year before all of this information was spread around the hospital. The actions of these nurse managers affected my ability to work and function within the hospital environment. Whereas 6 months prior to these events, I had been commended by my supervisors for the work that I was doing and the rapport that I had with the staff. I was pulled into my supervisor's office and was told that they could see me becoming a supervisor after working on the floor for a year and that they could see me becoming a manager within the hospital in the future. The staff knew this and I even had a nursing instructor comment about the good experience that I had on this floor when I returned to school.

My new manager had been working with my old manager and my old preceptor to find any and all problems that I may have had. My new manager went out of her way to find information to use against me. She did not let me see what was written about me in my personal file after telling me that I could. They don't want me to change what was written about me. They did not go to me to find out my side of any story. They decided to terminate me for not being in line with their goals and visions. I was new and still learning. When I spoke with the nurse educator, she said that even when they have had new grads nearly kill a patient, they won't fire them and do what they can to help them. I did nothing even remotely close to this and these nurse managers were more than willing to fire me.
