No one just has to cough up money because someone holds a judgment against them.

So, now you begin the extra special phase of your journey to get what is yours, the collection part.

You can, indeed, retain an attorney, especially, IF your judgment was obtained in a small claims action.

I won't spoil the plot of your little drama by revealing to you why that is necessary, but it is, if you ever want to collect a dime of that judgment.

Frankly, I'd let it go, because if you start to kick the bear, it'll bite back.

This is the part where you'll soon com to regret that small claims bit of fun.

Anyway, you can hire an attorney, or you can see if the local sheriff will honor that small claims court order and seize a branch belonging to the bank, thereby allowing you to attempt to sell that bank's branch to satisfy your $2,500 to $10,000 small claims judgment.

Ain't the law great fun, OP? You darn sure, rootin', tootin' betcha.
