How do I change the jurisdiction of a case

I reviewed and my ex has filed in the wrong county I only resided in the county for a month. How do I challenge this?

What legal action did your "ex" file?

Was this "ex", of whom you type, a spouse, a girlfriend, boyfriend, business associate, "ex" what?

Once you reveal a few relevant particulars, perhaps someone can better inform you.

He is an ex boyfriend we have a child together. He is trying to take full custody of my daughter.

Has he established paternity via DNA testing?

If not, he has no rights to YOUR child.

A child born out of wedlock is by operation of law under the sole custody of the birth mother.

The unmarried can go to court to establish paternity, and you should make sure child support is established.

I suggest you contact the local Texas AG's office and request their help in getting the unmarried male established as the father, and you can have the AG help you establish court ordered child support.

An unmarried male rarely gets custody of a baby/toddler.

He can obtain some type of supervised visitation, leading to overnights.

Unmarried males rarely want that, but a few do.

Do appear at the hearing the male has scheduled.
You don't want a default verdict.
If you're smart, hire a lawyer on Monday to protect your interests.
