I am a chiropractor in Mich. I opened an office in a small town and hooked up my phone like everyone else would, but a couple months later, I find out that the town to the north of me (within 5 miles) cannot contact me from their home phones. I have been dealing with my phone company, which is different than what the residents of the area north have, to resolve this issue, but it has been going on since May of 2008.
Do I have any recourse against this telephone company for lost income, or do I just have to wait for them to fix it. I figure I'm losing around $1K per week because of this problem.
