I was backing out of a freeway on ramp that was at a stop and lapd gave me a ticket for driving the wrong way on a one way. The letter in the mail to pay for the ticket has my drivers license wrong an my cars license plates wrong. Can I fight this or should i just pay it?

Thanks

Fred

Can you contest the citation?
Yes, you have the constitutional right to your day in court.
Will those alleged errors allow you to prevail?
No, the state can move to amend those errors in open court.
Usually, that would be allowed.
But, you have the right to your day in court.

Even with the errors, you would still have to prove that it was not you driving.
If your name and birth date are correct then there is a good chance they will figure out the correct license number with the click of a few buttons. If your birth date is not correct then you can probably walk away from this... any warrant that would issue would go to someone other than you (who may not even exist).
