A top wireless carrier sends advertisement text messages to my cell phone, which specifically says "free msg" in the subject line. But it turns out not free in the monthly bill statement. Yes, it is only a couple of dimes each time but I absolutely HATE this type of fraudulent activities, especially by big firms. Can I make them pay dearly and learn a lesson?

No, you can't make anyone pay.
You have no legal authority to do that.

A court, however, does.

Unfortunately, others have tried and lost.

The technology exists to block unwanted callers and texters, but cell carriers don't want to use for obvious reasons.

Write your legislators.

Search your phone options. You can disable these ad messages. They are generated based on your GPS location. Find your GPS settings and you will likely find the option to disable this.
