I will try to sum up the events of the last year. Basically an American father trying to obtain custody of his now three year old daughter. Her mother is of an illegal status. She is working underneath another name. Average time she lives at a residence is about 2 months. She drives illegally with daughter. She has no intentions of becoming an American citizen. The father: has had a stable, good paying job for several years as well as a stable place of residence. After a failed attempt of the mother to put a restraining order against the father to see his daughter, he was ultimately granted temporary custody until final hearing. Visitations have been awful-the mother has treated it as a game and judge eventually ordered the father to provide all transportation. She has tried several times to put more restraining orders against the father and we wonder why since this will make visitations difficult if not impossible. We wonder why this process is being dragged out and what else the father can do. There was another court hearing. Mother's lawyer claims that the father is a racist (though he is half MExican himself) and that it is because of him that she is living/working here illegally. How is that his fault I wonder? And because of this, they are in the process of putting another restraining order against him!!!!!! What?! How is visitation going to be possible without him getting himself into trouble for violating restraining order? Can he deny visits until this is resolved? What other proof does the judge need in order to grant custody to the father? Please help!
