Paula, a woman from Indiana, is working weekends vending grilled hot dogs Thursday through Saturday nights from June to August, Friday and Saturday nights the rest of the year. She and her husband, a crack addicted behavoral health client, are both receiving SSI. She is paid under the table and they are stone broke by Monday. (It is believed she pays her husband's crack 'bill.' This has been going on for a few years. Should/can/must she be reported for fraud?

Glad you asked, CyberCop. I happen to have worked as a security guard for a former employee of the owner years ago, so I know the entire business. I keep tabs on what has been going on in recent years....

Glad you responded. What consequences should I be aware of if they would suspect me?
The cart has a history of crack...before I worked there (when there was no crack there-2000-2001), there had been an employee, Clay, whose friends and wife were crackheads. The employee I worked with, Sal, was almost killed in Nov 2001 when a car driven by a drunk barmaid jumped the curb at which Sal (I wasn't there that night-fortunately) vended with his back to the street(!), Sal fell on the street, the cart toppled on top of him; he was taken by ambulance to hospital and received treatment; a little bit later I quit and so did he. The owner (Giovanni) wanted Sal use his own insurance (fortunately the woman's insurance compensated Sal), as Giovanni's insurance only cover his truck and not the cart. Giovanni pockets his profits and runs off to casinos on sides of the border to blow most of the money at the game of baccarat...

Well do these people have kids if so contact family services. Also if you contact them they won't just comfront them they will do an investigation behind there backs and most likely end up arresting them for fraud type charges. Also don't worry you always have police to have your back. PM me if you want to chat alittle more

The husband has kids from former marriage, for whom he supposedly owes child support, but can his SSI be garnished, or he be extradited to IN from NY?

What is your game, pauldrake? I felt a little sorry for you when I replied to your post about Vincent. You sounded so angry and bitter, to the point of being just a tad irrational, but it was clear that you felt your wife was wronged.

Now I see these other threads. Either you are trying a dry run of your efforts at fiction writing, or you need another type of forum. Or, you are a troll.

Sorry to cause you disappointment, but I'm not a troll. I'm thankful for Cybercop's responses...I plan to utilize his "go-ahead" flag. Besides, I already got the "do what you think is right" nod from a correspondent in OR who is a practicing attorney. Two signals in my favor.
BTW: I am not related to any persons in any size, shape or form. Often, the truth is stranger than fiction.
Have a nice summer, my day has been made. :)
