Does "Default Motion" mean I get permanent custody of grandchildren?

I have had temp. custody (through court) of my 2 grandchildren since June 2005. Both parents were given service of summons and had 30 days to respond. It is now almost Nov. and neither parent responded. My attorney sent me a letter stating the court needed to move forward to formalize the custody arrangement and she is filing a Default Motion. The father has left the state and is running from the law, however the mother is visiting the children regularly under my supervision. Does this mean I will get permanent custody since they had their chance to respond and didn't? Thank you.

Yes it is appearing you probably are going to be awarded custody. It does not appear to be there yet but since neither parent responded, it is looking good.
