In January, my husband and I booked a dream vacation for our 40th anniversary. Flying into Amsterdam then onto a Holland America ship for a 21 day cruise through the Baltic sea. We booked flights and hotel through their web site to make things stress free. We are now one week from the trip and they have changed our flights several times. The last change they made has no economy seats available. Called customer service and was told we had to pay to upgrade to 1st class or pay a $1000. Penalty as it is less than 8 days until the flight. If we cancel the cruise, we will lose about $2000. Any suggestions??. Thank you
