So we have court in 2 weeks. We're gonna do an agreement for support and custody with the mediator. He currently is on unemployment. He's gonna agree to give me $130 a week right now. So if and when he gets a job after court how do I get his support adjusted to what he's making then? Do we have to go back to court again? Has anyone ever agreed before with mediation then gone back to court because you stopped agreeing?

It would be best if the two of you could sit down and agree to an increased based on the pay at his new job and then file the stipulation with the court.

But if that doesn't happen you'll have to petition the court for an adjustment based on a change in circumstances.

Has anyone ever agreed before with mediation then gone back to court because you stopped agreeing?

I'm sure lots of people have.

Any modification of the court order would have to go through the court and ruled on by a judge.
