with all of the constant bickering with my ex and her constant bashing of me to our children and being that we live hundreds of miles apart I agreed to a no contact with them so that our children would not constantly be bombarded with negativity from their mother. I only have about another year with no contact, but in the mean time my question is can my new spouse contact the children and send them a gift?

Be smart, buy the gifts, save them to avoid entangling an innocent person in this sordid bit of idiocy.

If and when the order lapses, send the gifts.
I had one client who saved all his gifts for 20 years for three children.
He sent them to the children upon each one's 18th birthday.
the kids understood why it appeared to not care, after seeing newspapers of the day packaged inside each gift.

One parent even opened savings accounts for each child.
The bank contacted the kids at age 18.
They, too, understood.

I suggest you obey the order you agreed to obey.
