Hi some years back i had a roommate he stole my rent money I got into a physical fight his brother took him to the police station I was arrested and even though I'm a straight man the police wrote it up as domestic violence I did a day and a half in the holding cell got the chance to see the judge I got a free bond I went back to court twice the other party never came to court so on the next court date the judge dismissed the case the other day I went to my Ffl dealer to pick up a lower receiver the dealer said I was delayed so I was confused on why and did a little research and found out that one of the reasons for people being delayed was because of domestic violence and I'm Wondering will it show up on my background check even if I wasn't convicted of anything and will it prevent me from owning a firearm

Yes, what you suspicion could be the reason you're having issues.
A mere arrest, and then a dismissal (which isn't an acquittal, or dismissal with prejudice) can cause many interruptions in one's life.
I suggest you search the internet and for a site where YOU can conduct your own records check.
There are many, do your research and you'll find one.
Michigan reveals a great deal of public information (arrest records being one example) to private services where you can see what the government is saying about YOU.
