Hi,

I have 401K plan with Company that I left a couple years ago.
They recently changed the holder of this plan and moved all accounts over.
During this move they applied my money to some mutual fund and failed to inform me about it and the move too. Because of this transaction I lost $500.00. Can I ask my ex-employeer for compensation?
I think that they should've put my money to money market account till I will be able to make my own choices?

You can ask. They have no legal obligation to agree.

Just because you think they should have handled the move differently does not mean that law is going to force them to.
