i got fired today over the phone while i was at work. i was told that the front desk associate watched the camera tape and saw me steal money out of her drawer, which i didnt do! The boss was at home when all this happened and fired me over the phone. they refused to let me watch the tape. id ont know what to do, but i need to prove my inoscense. what should i do? do i have a right to see the camera tape?

This falls into the unfair but not illegal category. A wrongful termination does not mean that you were fired for something you didn't do; it means that you were fired for a reason prohibited by law. You can legally be fired on suspicion of theft, even if the employer is mistaken.

They are not required by law to show you the tape.
