I got a tailgating/speeding ticket on I-10 near the 71 Hwy.
It was starting to go downhill and that's where I got pulled over by a CHP.
I have no ticket in the last 18 months.
So I can go to traffic school and keep my insurance rate down.
I was actually planning to do exactly that 'til yesterday when I received the notice.
But then, I found a "mistake" on my notice.
The license plate number on the notice is NOT mine.
I have a customized plate and in the last digit, instead of a "G", it is a "U".
How do I go about "fighting" the ticket?
Is a typo on the ticket a valid/legit reason for dismissal?

Is a typo on the ticket a valid/legit reason for dismissal?

No. A typo has nothing to do with the charge. The notice from the court is a "courtesy notice" and has no legal bearing on the case. Take the traffic school or show up in court and hope the officer is a no show and your case will be dismissed. For more information on a California Speeding Ticket:
