Wrong Date Of Offense

I got a speeding ticket in VA and on the ticket the officer wrote 12-20-05 on the ticket and it was suppost to have been 02-20-05, could it be possible that I could get it dismissed because of that and if not does VA have prayer for judgement ? I am from NC , dont know much about VA laws Thanks

I would go to the hearing and plead not guilty, upon stating your case state that the date of the offence for which you where charged is in the future and ask the judge to dismiss the case. If a judge in recorders court finds you guilty (not likeky) then appeal it to the state court.
