Can the DA and the Judge talk about my case while I'm out in the hallway.

You ask an interesting question, Wood.
First of all, IF that occurred it would be prohibited.
Second, you'd need PROOF to make a complaint about the purported conversation.
Third, the conversation could ave been quite innocent and innocuous, and that happens everyday.
It could have been as simple as, "Your honor, I'm having surgery next month, can this case be rescheduled?"
If that happened, your attorney will be informed, if he or she has not been informed already.
Everything about your case should ONLY be discussed with your attorney.
You must endeavor to protect your rights by not disclosing anything about your case.
Last, but not least, I suggest you discuss ALL of your concerns with your attorney.
