I develop software and applications for smartphones and recently a company used the name of my highest selling product (slightly altered it) and released a product that looks and works almost exactly the same. The way they changed the name was, if my products name was "Bob" they named their product "Bob 3G." If I get a trademark on my products name, ie "Bob", will this protect me against this other company using "Bob 3G"?
