My wife and I are struggling with heavy debt and she is considering declaring bankruptcy. She has about $23k in unsecured (mostly credit card) debt in her name only. We have 3 cards at about $7k total in both of our names. Our mortgage and the financing on both of our cars is in my name only. She stays home and takes care of our children and I earn our income.
My question is, would her bankruptcy impact me at all? Would anyone be able to run my credit and see her bankruptcy?
