What is too dangerous?

I work for a armored car company, where I drive a route that covers over 250 miles a day the majority freeway miles. I have been documenting the fact that our armored truck has bad tires for a couple months now, however the company says that they are on a spending freeze. I wouldn't be that concerned except for the last couple of days I have been driving on icy roads, and snow, having to use tire chains just to get around. Now the weather says that we are going to have nine more inches of snow, and it is getting to the point that I feel unsafe driving the truck. What kind of action can I take? Can I choose not to drive the route? Can they fire me if I do? As a worker do I have rights when it comes to "feeling unsafe"
