My jurisdiction is: Texas
I am from Texas. I am the custodial parent. This has nothing to do with the absent bio-father.
My 16 year old son wants to go live with his grandfather in the state of Louisiana. Do I need to give power of attorney to the grandfather so he can enroll the child in school and get medical attention? Or do I have to give guardianship? Honestly, I don't know the difference.
Or in this situation is it possible for me just to let him go? I don't know what I can/can't do.
