Is it legal to issue a warrent for failure to appear? Never notified, nor was my friend served with any papers. It was a stalking order and 2 telephone harrasments. My friend was in the hospital at the time these charges were put against him. Now he is stuck in jail until Febuary 6 2012, with a very life threatning medical condition and the medical staff is not giving him the proper medicine he needs, which could lead to him loosing his life.

It is legal to issue an FTA?

An FTA has nothing to do with legality, and more to do with judicial discretion and criminal procedure.

Simply put, it's "legal" alright.

I suggest you hire lawyers, r ask the court to appoint one to represent you (if tat is an option in your state).
