voluntarily relinquishing rights

My husband and I are about to file for an uncontested divource and I am currently five months pregnant at the momment. My husband wants to give up his rights and I completely agree it's what's best in our situation. He has another child from a previous relationship, and I have other children from a previous marriage. Is it possible to do this without a trial or need of an attorney?

Children are not property you can give away! No you cannot do this!

He cannot terminate rights unless there is going to be a subsequent adoption. It is NOT best for this baby to leave it without a legal father. If he chooses no involvement and you agree leave it a that. In most states you cannot finalize a divorce while pregnant. If you go on any assistance you must file for support.

Just to be sure.... The child is your husband's, right? If not, the answer is different.
