Visitation and sole custody

Hi guys!

First time posting here so bear with me. I'm the sole custody parent of a wonderful 11 year old boy. My ex has specified access which includes every second weekend alternate holidays yada yada.....My question is.....Can he take him out of town on his visitation without my say so?

If he

has a standard order of visitation that does not specify that he cannot remove the child from the jurisdiction then he can do whatever he wishes during his parental visitation time. Just as he can't tell you how to spend your vacation, you can't tell him how to spend his. You can request contact numbers or a cell phone number for contact, but as long as it is his scheduled time, he do or go anywhere he wishes.
