I was recently remove from my duties with pay and the infractions were mainly drug related although I was never caught using drugs at work. My brother and business partner had sought legal council on his rights as president and used the information to escort me out. I admitted to my abusive ways and went quietly. It has been 3 weeks and I am seeing someone weekly to get my life back in order. Part of that is getting back to work. I am the sales 1/2 of the family and so travel is necessary. I have offered to come back under the following guidelines. Random drug testing, sharing all correspondence, travel itineraries, call appointments and follow up correspondence. My partners attitude is I can't come back. What are my rights as a 50% owner and share holder?

Just to clarify - Massachusetts or Minnesota - title says Ma. & post says Mn. Thanks.

You will require legal counsel to effect your desires, if they are at all possible.
I see a stalemate here, if you're a 50% stakeholder, it's a draw.
I see legal intervention to resolve this, and the result might be you getting a buyout.
Or, the others walking away, dissolving their portion of the business; leaving you to flounder alone.

See a lawyer, or do your time in purgatory.
Recovery and rehabilitation doesn't happen overnight.
I wish you sobriety.

Since your brother/busi. partner has sought legal council, that is your best bet also. (in the area where the busi. is located wherever that might be - Ma. or Mn.)
