Assault & Battery Verbal assault

I need some real help here please. I was verbally assaulted by an employee of a company in the elevator of my apt building. The person was said to be off duty but still wearing the uniform what can i do? Any help would be appreciated. I have found out that person lives in my building and feel even more afraid of further outburst and attacks. thanx

Verball assault is not against the law, at least from what I know. Anybody can say just about anything to anybody.

This would be more of an HR issue than a legal one. Complain to them.
