In summary, my landlord is a nut. I had an ant problem and called at least three times regarding it and she dropped off a can of Lysol to resolve to. I had a nine month lease and I fulfilled it. The landlord pressured me, asking twos prior to the lease ending, if i was going to renew or not. I requested a month to month lease and she said no way, and finally we verbally agreed on a sixth month lease. We planned on meeting to sign it, and she canceled on me. She told me she would mail it. I waited a month and never recieved the lease. I reminded her about it, and she finally dropped it off. Due her past flaky behavior, in the mean time I found a new place to live. She is claiming that we had a verbal agreement and is being really hateful and still has my $800.00 deposit.
Am I in the wrong although I did not sign anything, and she took over a month to follow up?
Am I still intitled to my deposit as long as there are no damages?
