1_ Does my business have the right to reposess a vehicle on which services were performed, and a $758 bad check (closed bank account) was presented?

2_ Please provide the pertinent Texas statute(s).

3_ What are the filing procedures to do so?

4_ Is Notice required?

5_ Can I perform all of the steps personally as a business owner?

Check out the link below for the Texas repossession law however what I see here is that you have a case for small claims court. You need to file a claim to settle this issue since it was for services performed on a vehicle that you didn't actually sell to the shady customer. Check with the clerk of the court how you need to proceed when it comes to filing and what comes next. Good luck to you!

I don't know about Texas law but I know in Utah as soon as you return possession of the vehicle to the customer it becomes a small claims matter. You can however demand payment in full before allowing the vehicle to leave your parking lot and as long as you post notice in your reception room, you can charge a daily vehicle storage fee.
