I live in a duplex on a month to month lease in Kearney Ne, when we moved in all that was told to us was that we need to switch over utilities over to our name. We switched all but the water, the city refused to switch over the water because there is only one meter servicing the duplex. today we recieve a water bill telling we need to pay half. I feel that she should just pay it (since it is tax decutable anyway) because we have no clue how much water we are really using because the meter is shared with our neighbors. do I just pay it and shut up?
