I live in Staten Island NY. I purchsed a used washer and dryer from a used appliance outlet store. The lady told me it came with a 60 day full warrenty. I brought them home & had them installed professionally. I put a load in the washer, went upstairs to bathe my daughter and about fifteen minutes later my boyfriend came home and began yelling about smoke. The entire downstairs of my house had smoke in it. I called the appliance place and told them I wanted the washer replaced. I did not want it repaired as it almost burnt my house down. They told me that they would see when they could replace it, it might "take a few days." I told them this was unacceptable and if they couldn't replace it I wanted a refund for the washer. They told me that they have a no cash back policy. I did not see this in the store (Could have missed it) & it was never verbally conveyed to me. I looked at my receipt and on the bottom is stamped on 60 day warrenty no cash back. What rights do i have?
