Passport US Passport

I am Canadian (i.e. born in Canada)

My father (who was born in Canada) holds an American passport by virtue of "right of blood" (i.e. his mother was born in the US).

I'm led to believe that I may also apply for a US passport, is this correct? if it is, how do I apply ? what documents are required ? where would I submit the paperwork?

Unless you have U.S. citizenship, you cannot apply for a U.S. Passport. Your dad has to sponsor you first so you can become a U.S. citizen and then you can obtain one. Good luck to you!

does that mean that "jus sanguinis" does not apply to me but stops with my father ?
