Harassment, Stalking, Misconduct Urinate in public

I received a Uniform Criminal Citation from the State of Maryland, charging me with Urinate in public in violation of Md. Ann Code Article 32-17 A with a penalty of 1000$/6 months.

They ask me to appear in court when notified by them.

I would like to know what I really risk (it's my first crime).Really I could go to jail? I checked the Annotation Code of Maryland but I couldn't find anything except for Indecent Exposure that says 1000$-3 months.
Do I need a lawyer right now or should I wait to receive the call?

I really doubt they will give you jail time unless something else was going on. Probably will be a fine and maybe some type of probationary period. Never hurts to consult a lawyer though.

Thanks Calalily for the help.
Today I went to talk with a lawyer and he suggested me to do some community service before the trial trying to convince the prosecutors to dismiss the case.
In case they don't he told me what I will get on trial is a dismissal on probation with perhaps some community service and a fine.
In the worst case I will be convicted with a fine.

Is this prevision realistic?
