Just submitted a petition for my wife to become a greencard holder. In the application, lawyer has mistyped her date of entry and entry visa type. I have just found out about it since they just mailed me my copy of the package that was sent out USCIS.

Questions to experts:

should I just now patiently wait for my application to be rejected or can I do something about fixing it?

or maybe it is no big deal and she will still get called for an interview?

lastly, clearly lawyer who is getting paid a lot to help with this screwed up - can I ask for my money back or sue her?

thanks

Have you talked to your lawyer to see why the mistake was made? They will know if it can be fixed and they might appreciate the opportunity to fix it (at no charge to you, naturally).

I did talk to lawyer assistant and was told that it was their error but it shouldn't delay the application process...they said they will send a letter to USCIS pointing out the error once they get the receipt...

I couldn't really expect any other answer...
