Our 17 year old let a friend drive our car up the friend's driveway and the friend ran into his own home. The home and our car were damaged. There was a third kid in the car and his knee was scraped up, but nothing bad. The friend (driver) is 15 and does not even have a driver's permit. We did not give his friend permission to use our vehicle. To make things even worse his friend may have been intoxicated. The friend left the scene of the accident. My son stayed at the scene of the accident. The police came to the accident. My son had not been drinking.
My questions are -
Who is liable?
Will anyone's insurance cover the accident? Our car does not have collision coverage.
