Hello! I have a question. I am from Pennsylvania and I am 16 years old. My family is planning on taking a vacation to New York soon and I need advice on underage alcohol law in NY. Under Article 5 § 65-c it states that, "A person under the age of twenty-one years may possess any alcoholic beverage with intent to consume if the alcoholic beverage is given to the person under twenty-one years of age by that person's parent or guardian." Since I am from Pennsylvania does this still apply? Would I be breaking the NY law if I was at a restaurant **with my parents** and they allowed me to order a beer? The same question exists with New Jersey as I am aware that an almost identical law allows for similar underage alcohol consumption as in NY. Thank you for all your help!

Hehehe, those laws don't allow you to order alcoholic beverages. You are allowed to consume same under the supervision of your parent(s).
