The transport company shipped my car from Florida to California and the driver fell asleep at the wheel. I had everything I owned in the car. As a result, I also incurred about $1,500 in rental car fees and had to drive out to Nevada to identify the car, which cost about $200 in gas and expenses. The company is refusing to pay for anything because on the back of their contract it says they are not responsible. They didn't give me a chance to read the back of this agreement because they were in a hurry to leave.

Is there anything I can do

The first thing you should have done is to have your own insurance. You can sue them. probably in small claims and you should win.

I had insurance but not for rental car

I had insurance but not for rental car. I also had homeowners but it was cancelled right before the accident because I sold my condo.

What kind of insurance were you referring to?
