My husband received three traffic tickets last month. He was given notice that he had to appear in court on October 8, 2008. We received a letter about 10 days ago that he needed to appear on October 6, 2008 at 8am instead. He went to court this morning and appeared as he was told to do per the letter. The court told him that he was not on the docket for this morning and to go see the Clerk of Court. The Clerk of Court told him that he is not on the docket until October 13, 2008 but we were never notified of this change.
Can they do this? From what my husband tells me the officer that issued the ticket was not there in court this morning.
