Trademark vs. Company Name Issue

Need some help please on an issue of company name (mine) vs a trademark (theirs).

Let me use an example(names changed)

I recently opened up a company called TARLOX. I later on found out that there is a product registered as TARLOK on the US Trademarks office.
We both sell adhesives, glues and coatings.

Can this cause a problem for me? Mine is a company name but there's is a trademark but spelled with a "K" instead of our "X". I also intend to register with USPTO the word "TARLOX". My company is in New York and theirs is out of State.

Can someone help please?

I would say there certainly could be a likelihood of confusion with the mark in the same class. Did you do a search for a trademark that is similar to yours prior to using your company name?
