Ticket in Brunswick County, VA but Live in NC

I received a speeding ticket in Lawrenceville, VA doing 83 in a 70. I do not want points to hit my license. How does NC work? Will the points hit my license even though it was an out of state ticket? I was going to drive all the way back to VA to make the court appearence, I am not arguing the ticket, I just don't want points. Does VA have "prayer of judgement"? What do I do or say to the judge NOT to get the points on my record?
