Hello. In about March I accidentally sent a picture of me to someone instead of my boyfriend. This person also has stolen my jeans and refuses to pay/give them back. Her friend is now threatening me to post my picture of my upper area if I contact the law enforcement about getting my jeans or money back and is threatening to fight me. Help please I don't know what to do.
 
So leave them alone and ignore them. I can't think of a pair of jeans that are worth such hassle.

How old are you?

How old is the person who is alleged to have received the picture?

Depending on the EXACT nature of the threats, the comments might be a crime in your state.

Upper area? That can mean a lot of things. Upper what area?

Maybe you should learn a lesson and not leave your clothing lying around where it can be stolen and stop sending nude pictures of yourself to anyone.

Next thing is we'll be hearing that you sent nudes to your boyfriend and he broke up with you and he is threatening to post your pictures on Instagram or some such.
 
I'm going to guess you are a kid. Aside from the obvious of don't send any photos to anyone you don't want say, your grandmother to see, your choices are few.
The police don't care about your jeans. They aren't going to do anything about them. Please don't waste police resources or time on a petty squabble over jeans. 9 times in 10, that is just going to result in a stern talking to about wasting their time and a call to your parents about why you contacted them.

Your options are to take the jeans back or continue arguing over them. This other person is either going to "post" this picture or not no matter what you do. You can deny it, block it, request it be removed at that time (from where it is posted), report it to the police if you are underage and it is pornographic (posting nude pics of a child IS a crime the police care about), have your parents contact this person's parents, etc.
 
Hi again, it and wasn't just my jeans thanks but multiple of my stuff that she took from my bag :). All I want is the money for the stuff she stole. It was between her and I. And we have agreed to meet. But I'm curious to the other person threatening me. I'm 19. And the one who received is 19, but she sent them to her friend whom is 16. But I mean if I don't get my money whatever. I was more curious about the seriousness of the person sending threats. Thanks. :)

Hi it wasn't intentional. Yes to my boyfriend but because I thought I had something wrong with my boob. It was just the one and nothing else. So it wasn't an actual nude I was concerned about my health because he knows stuff about that thanks

Any adult who transmits naked photos of certain parts of the human body to minors commits a felony against US federal law, and most state laws, too.

One: I'm 19, so is the other. I have never sent anything to anyone under the age as I'm not that dumb. Just a mishap in sending the wrong thing to the wrong person whom I thought I could trust even though it was never meant for them. So are you taking about the one who is 19 and sent it to the younger person?
 
This is extremely petty.

If someone has property of yours and is refusing to return it then you can use the ssmal claims process to try and resolve that dispute if you can't work it out yourselves.

As for the picture, it is beyond your control. Forget about it. If someone else did something with that photo that might get them in trouble then it is their problem. Once you sent it, even if by mistake to the wrong recipient, you lost all control over it.

Okay yeah. I understand! They're just being petty. I really don't care if I get the money or not. I'm not going to cops about that as it's just between the person and I. Her friend is just being petty about it my uncle is a sheriff and he knows what happened but said nothing can be done to me about it. I guess I can just avoid all their drama & let them make their own mistakes.

Well...umm...

I take it that the picture you "accidentally sent" to the person who "stole[] [your] jeans" was pornographic in nature. While I have to wonder how it is that you "accidentally sent" such a picture and why you would send such a picture to anyone and how it is that this person had access to your jeans so as to steal them, I don't think any of that is really relevant to any legal issue.

It is a crime to threaten the publication of your photo as leverage to prevent you from going to the police or suing. However, I have a hard time believing that a pair of jeans is worth even the hassle of making a police report or filing a small claims action.

I suggest you re-evaluate what sorts of pictures you take or allow to be taken of yourself, along with disseminating such photos to others, and move on with your life.

BTW, your 19yo (ex?) boyfriend doesn't have the ability to diagnose a medical condition based on a camera phone picture. If you're concerned about your health, see a doctor.

I did go to doctor. We have everything settled now with this person. We're all good now I just wanted some answers!
 
I am sorry you were brow beat here. I understand in todays world many couples exchange sexy pics as play time etc. I also understand how you "might" accidentally send to wrong person. We have seen that here countless times. Use caution sending these pics and ALWAYS check to who you are sending them to! You were given your legal option and sounds like you have this worked worked out now. Best wishes

They're just jeans...let it go. Block the person and move on. Don't send nude pictures or make sure you send them to the right person in the future.
