I was hit with a "Theft by Deception" charge from a tow truck company. The charge is under $50. My problem is that I missed my original court date and landed in jail for a night. I went to court the next morning and was told I needed to get this resolved by the 18th or I could face jail time for up to a year. If I pay the business, will it get this charge dismissed? If so, will this still remain on my record were it can negatively impact my career?

You shouldn't do anything until you've retained an attorney. Yes, it'll remain on your record, unless you're acquitted. That's why you need a lawyer. If you lose (or make a deal), yes, it'll forever follow you.
