My boyfriend & I have been together for 3 years & we have a 17 month old little girl. He has just informed me that he has no intentions of getting married. He owns his own company & makes way more than he claims. (He has told me this.) How do I make sure she gets what she is entitled to? Also I stay home with her & I have given up my job, my house, & my car. I have nothing to call my own. If we were to separate I would be without anything. Is there any way to get support for me even though we weren't married?

child support yes. spousal support no. YOu also decided to have the baby out of wedlock. He does not have to marry you. You will be required to get a job once the relationship ends. Most states will calculate an income for you but it depends on the child support guidelines of your state which you did not mention. him being self employed will make it tricky to figure out how much he makes but regardless, both parents are required to support the child. You can also ask for half of daycare to be paid by him.
