Happy 250th birthday to my beloved USA, even though I won't be around, prepare for your 500th Birthday in 250 more outstanding, amazing years!!!

I must admit, I'd take a 100 degree Fahrenheit , sunny day, over a dreary, cold wintry day, hovering at a mere 20 odd degrees above zero Fahrenheit!

When I first moved to Henderson, I was at a cross walk waiting for my light. There was a woman next to me dressed just like Kenny from South Park.

Now...it was about 45 or 50 and this lady, dressed in full length down coat, scarf, hat and hood, mittens was wicked shivering. I'm wearing a tee shirt and windbreaker...unzipped.

I don't break out the proper winter gear till 20 either Red.
Which means it has been sitting in a zipped bag for 8 years. ;)

My power company msg'd me today that my power consumption was increased between 7/1 & 7/3. No sh!t, sherlock - we had a heatwave. I don't mind the heat, per se, but the humidity kills me.

I will note that I don't have central air and currently only have an installed unit in my bedroom (I do have two more units, but can't physically install them myself). But there's a nice enough breeze downstairs so as to be tolerable during the day - with fans, cool showers, and spritzing with water as needed. Dogs are in the basement, and cats get either spritzed or just wet down w/a washcloth.

lol...It's 107 out right now and apparently the incoming monsoons are bringing heat relief, so it only feels like 106. A whole degree. I feel so frigging fortunate!!

What about you @adjusterjack ...are you getting some cooler temps?

Nah.

I went to Prescott today. It was in the high 90s.

I got back to Phoenix about 2 PM and it was 109.

Looks like rain forecast for next Thu and Fri followed by a couple days of temps closer to 100.

We're not getting any real relief until about mid-October.

My sister (in Boston) asked me why I wasn't swimming this afternoon and was confused when I said it was too hot to swim. 20 min's in the pool and I would be crispy red. She's never been south of NJ so has not comprehension of the HUGE difference between MA sun and NV sun.

84 here with 68% humidity.

Nice big rain last night cooled things down a bit. More coming tonight.

I was in the Army in Georgia, late 60s. Summer humidity was 85% when the temps were 85. No AC in my room or office. No way to get dry. You don't know from brutal. LOL.

When I lived in NH, we were driving back from No. Conway heading home. 105 and 90% humidity. No AC in the car and I had my arm dangling out the window driving down RT 93. Pulled my arm back in and it was dripping water from the humid air. Then it started to storm. First the hail and then the downpour. It was like driving in a waterfall! We had to pull over because visibility was nil.
Within 10 mins the temp dropped to low 70's.

New England! If you don't like the weather wait a minute. :P

Back a few weeks ago, when we had the heat dome... I had a shower to cool off, then could not get dry. I tried corn starch, which kind of caked. LOL Note: I have a/c up in the bedroom, but only fans and a nice breeze from the creek otherwise. Aaah, first-world problems.
