In Texas can you sue two different defendants in the same suit? I have a builder and a homeowner who owe me money on a job. I would like to name the builder and homeowner in the suit. thanks

Joinder

Of course you can; it is called "Joinder of Defendants" whose liabilities must obviously arise out of the same so-called "Transaction" and there should also be a common question of law as to both parties; they are then said to be jointly and severally liable to you for damages incurred.

Since this action will be filed as a small claim, it is a good idea to allocate each defendant's portion of liability in the complaint and you must make sure that their combined liability does not exceed your jurisdiction's limit.
