Hi guys, need your help badly.
I am working for a company, for business purpose, I found a window cleaner (A) last Oct. The cleaner has been cleanning my windows once a week since then. But I had to stop his service today because my company found another cleanning service (B) that will do multiple locations of ours.
The owner of A told me, if the contract is breached, he will seek the amount of money he would have received if I had not terminated this contract (if i remembered correctly, it was verbel); on the other hand, I have his written proposal: first time free, once a week service, $25/each time after. There is nothing saying the term is one year.
My questions are:
1. if I DID sign any type of contract, if this termination would give A the position to ask for compensation (the service has not been performed, and we pay once a month);
2. If there is no such one year term, should i worry anything?

thanks guys for help,
